FUSION

THE PROCESS OR RESULT OF JOINING TWO OR MORE THINGS TOGETHER TO FORM A SINGLE ENTITY.

For this year's portfolio I have taken a different approach using experimentation with lenses and light to form an abstract collection of images.

My inspiration came from a photo I took at Vivid earlier this year, slowing my shutter speed and either rocking my camera body or slowly zooming my lens or a combination of both movements. When viewing my images after a few fun days out and about, these images reminded me of my childhood playground memories, they made me reflect on the countless hours I spent on swings, see saws and roundabouts or the times running around and skipping with my friends.  My visioned memories with play created another world, the distorted shapes created with up and down, back and forth and spinning would fuse objects together to form a kaleidoscope of colour.
