IMPERMANANCE

CONSTANT CHANGE, NOTHING EVER STAYING THE SAME, NOT EVEN FOR A MOMENT.

This body of work was part of an exhibition in 2016 called ENTROPY. Impermanence is my interpretation of Entropy within our environment and relationships. No matter how hard we try to control and keep a perfect world nothing ever stays the same.

This inspiration evolved from the music by an English band called ‘Muse’.  While listening, I imagined a peaceful seaside with its tranquillity and harmony.  I’m not sure why I thought of the sea, maybe it’s because of my happy childhood memories by the water’s edge.

My vision and ideas represents relationships with their joys and heartbreak. Our lives have many twists and turns with many complicated pathways. From the time we are born we need strength to survive, to embrace the warm feeling of belonging to enrich our soul, and to live with the decisions we make no matter how rewarding or disruptive they may be.

At the end of the day we must never lose sight of who we are and where we have come from and where we are going.
