UNDERSIDE

When deciding on what subject I would work on for my portfolio this year, I discovered the structure, beauty and elegance of the underside of a bridge. I thought this subject would be quiet simple and easy!  But how wrong was I! For me to achieve the correct composition in camera, I needed to visit the same bridge several times.  While I spent this time alone trying to get things right and waiting for my long exposures, the sounds of the cars above were like a heartbeat and the emptiness of the underside made me think about the different things that could have taken place here over time.  This out of sight place is a time capsule that can never be opened, its stories forever silenced, a place that witnesses secrets, sadness, joys and regrets!
